Conclusion

The Samsung MultiView800 is an excellent choice for any new or updating compact camera buyer. The main feature of the MV800’s design, the 180 degree flip out display, is -to say the least- a marvellous addition to a camera. The Samsung MV800’s screen able to fully turn around on itself; it allows the user to take pictures easily of themselves while holding the device in comfort.  It can be used in a range of positions, you can bend the screen round to your preferred angle and the camera stays firm while using it.

As you now know, the screen has a touch 3.0 display, which can at times be unresponsive, but only due to the screen needing quite a bit of applied pressure, a good old forceful thumb push will get the job done. Of course we would rather have this; than a overly sensitive screen or a weak one that is could crack and break.

In terms of picture quality, needless to say the 16MP high quality is crystal clear. The Samsung MV800 offers not only clarity, but great auto focus in the most awkward of picture situations. The colours that the camera grabs hold of make your images vibrant and lively, unless you set it to do otherwise. The camera takes in as much details as you can ask for, the 3-inch screen your images are displayed on are sharpened up when viewing them on the device; normally camera screens display your pictures worst than they actually are, but not the MV800, images looked great in their 1080i resolution.

The software, features and tools this compact camera holds for us, which also are top quality, and really add to the overall product, making the Samsung MultiView800 very desirable for almost every consumer.

Cost

The price for the Samsung MV800 was very surprising considering all it gives you and the performance of the compact camera. I was expecting a price tag well over £300/$467, but the MulitView 800 is priced at a mere £200/$311.
