Samsung Delays Galaxy S3 – Possible iPhone 5 Threat

Samsung confirms that a new Samsung Galaxy S3 will not be making an appearance at this year’s Mobile World Congress 2012.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 the successor to the S2 was fully expected to launch in Barcelona at the end of this month at the Flagship store. However Samsung have stated that the new smartphone will be revealed at a later date at a different event showing.

"Samsung is looking forward to introducing and demonstrating exciting new mobile products at Mobile World Congress 2012.

"The successor to the Galaxy S2 smartphone will be unveiled at a separate Samsung-hosted event in the first half of the year, closer to commercial availability of the product.

"Samsung stays committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences for customers around the world."

Unfortunately if you are already a current S2 holder or have just bought one, you are going to be left behind, as the Samsung Galaxy S3 includes features that dominate the previous model, such as a faster processor, larger screen and a wealth of next-gen content.

This Samsung Galaxy S3 delay could well be a strategically move to counter their Huge arch rival Apple as they will release their Apple iPhone 5 around the same time as the S3, which if you take the rumours to be true, should be with us in July.
