The rumours have come back around once more. Apple has reportedly been testing several TV designs as they are showing a interest into building their own television set, rumoured name “iTV”. The rumours have been around for a while now that Apple is rumoured to be working its way into the HDTV market, getting on for nearly two years now.
A source has claimed that the project is one step closer to entering production. Rumours will always just be rumours, however suppliers in Asia told the Wall Street Journal that they are working with Apple to test TV designs. These "officials at some of Apple's suppliers" claimed that it will be a large-screen high definition display.
Apple's collaborators on the iTV are said to be Hon Hai Precision Industry, which also assembles the iPhone and iPad, and coincidently enough, Sharp.?
"It isn't a formal project yet. It is still in the early stage of testing," said one of the sources to the WSJ.
After nearly two years of this rumour, and now this additional, more solid evidence, we can’t help but now believe that it really does look like Apple are creating the iTV. I think it’s easy to imagine what it may look like, as Apple's designs over the years have really not differed from one another. Below is what we think it’s going to look like...hmmmm?
