This was not the largest i-Series/M Festival event ever but it still had plenty on show for the technophile to enjoy. We have brought you some of the highlights from the show if you weren’t able to make your way there this time around.

First and foremost, this event is a massive LAN with gamers from across the UK and even as far away as the Netherlands coming to compete in a few of the tournaments. The finals of these tournaments were played on the stage that was erected in the main exhibition hall. Central to this stage were the shout-casters and a massive projector screen for spectators to catch all the action on. The biggest crowd turned up to watch Team Fortress 2. Not sure if they realised that it’s now free to play and that playing it is more fun than watching.

The gaming halls themselves were colossal, hundreds of square feet packed full of gamers. As you can imagine, a room full of stay at home teens who have come to play Starcraft for 4 days straight isn’t gonna smell too great, which is why we only ventured in to get a few photos and find out the latest scores.

Back in the main exhibition hall were the retailers and of course the manufacturers showing off the latest tech they have to offer. CCL online were showing off an Eyefinity setup, not sure of the game but I am sure a first person shooter would have done the setup much more justice than what looks like World of Warcraft.

CCL online were also running a competition to see which visitor to the event could build a PC in the quickest time, we didn’t enter as it would be unfair on everyone else to set times which are quite frankly unbeatable.

Quiet PC was present at the i-Series once again and as always had a guitar hero style game set up for people to play. They were also showcasing the latest in silent PC tech from the likes of Zalman and Gelid Solutions.

Another interesting stand at the show was displaying a bunch of Cyborg RAT mice, Tritton gaming headsets and other Cyborg Peripherals. We are hoping to get some of these samples in for review soon so watch this space!

One of the most interesting stands at the show for us was Thermaltakes. They were showcasing a massive range of their latest products in the eSports range and we came away with plenty of samples of which there will be reviews shortly.

Medion were also present, showing off some of their gaming laptops and other high-end desktop PC’s they made for very interesting conversation and were also giving away free memory sticks rather than the usual lanyard. In these pictures you can see myself (Andrew) attempting to play the world’s worst game ever on the high powered notebook, whilst Adam is getting  in a chat with the Medion rep. You won’t know Medion very well as they are massive in Germany but not really anywhere else. We will be getting some products for review for you guys very soon so you can take a look at what Medion offers, and let me tell you; they offer some quite cool cases that no one even knows about.

There were plenty of racing competitions being held, here we can see the PC world competition which was to try and set the fastest lap time, there was many of these time trials going on at i43 this year.

There were a lot of PC repairs going on at the show as many gamers either broke their computers in an energy drink fuelled rage or their computers dropped dead of their own accord. Either way, there was a lot of business going on at this particular stand which was selling hardware and peripherals.

Asus and Antec were also present at the show and had brought some of their newer products along to show off.

In-Win were also there, showing off there retail range of enclosures. Unfortunetely we do not have a picture of their stall. The main case they were showing off was the Dragon Rider in White, which will be available to buy a just a couple short months. We will soon have the full review of the Dragon Rider case reviewed here at HardwareLOOK, so look out.
